Recently, I saw a "deal" in which the subject property, a 1 story, 3/2 1700 sq. feet was compared with a 2 story w/basement, 4/2 2200 sq. feet 1.5 miles away, which was technically a different city!

I have to drive 80 miles out of Vancouver in order to find a house in the range of $300k in small towns.

Only 4 miles from beach on Oak Island.

I like the southeast area inside the perimeter (most, but not all of the areas south of Memorial and east of the Atlanta city limits), partly because it's close enough for me to manage from where I live in the city of Decatur. 

The husband got a job 155 miles away and that's the motivation.They refinanced on an FHA loan and the current amount owed is $150,000.

That means part of the computation of the zestimate for a 3 bedroom 1950's split level home might be artificially inflated by the 3 bedroom new construction development a mile down the street.On nicer properties, the zestimate is often under the actual price, and on run of the mill homes the zestimate is often overinflated.
