I am not an expert by any stretch on the current state of the market, and more importantly I think you'd need to run the numbers on any property (of course) you are considering.

It only makes sense if you are in a very expensive market like CA or the NE coast and you have a huge economic delta - like earning money in San Francisco and investing in Milwaukee. 

They are generally the first to go vacant in an economic resección.

I wrote this because we humans can't trust anything the experts and I just have to tell you why I had sciatica pain and peripheral neuropathy problems (problems with nerves that cause pain and can last forever.All my problems started 4 weeks after my 2nd Moderna shot and I don't want to tell the long story about how all this went down and I don't want to write about how not one doctor I discussed this wants to talk about this because if doctors listen to me they have to fill out forms, file forms, answer an investigation by the CDC and that takes a lot of a person's time.Just like trying to fins a broker who will work his butt of for your best interest, my recent medical problems seriously woke me up in regards to how our medical system works.

Couple that with the limited number of STR permits, basic economics.

Always hire a contractor or get expert opinion on something you do not fully understand.

Hi @Katrina CabralI'm not an expert in this, but I think you would need to try and negotiate with the 'Fee' owner what the price of purchasing the fee would be - like a normal transaction.
