You have to pay a lot for the privilege of the REIT's daily liquidity option, and if you are able to handle illiquidity, then you can pocket the difference for yourself and get a higher return.Also, real estate is a completely different asset class than stocks, so you should not expect to be able to take everything that applies to one and assume that it will apply to the other.
