You would talk with the mortgage department in your local bank to pursue financing for 1 to 4 units, and to the commercial department for 5 units up...and the left hand often does not know what the right hand does.

have you described your business model to your state department of real estate.. someone there should let you know if your doing a transaction that requires a license or not.you can usually write out your business plan make a formal request in writing and they will let you know..

You can learn more about it here https://www.stpaul.gov/departments/safety-inspecti...I have only dealt with 2 potential evictions so I wouldn't say I'm a pro with this question but from what I understood is that you can expect the process to take 3-4 weeks depending on the court schedule and the speed at which you can file.
