My wife and I would like to house hack a Quadplex / Triplex in the Boston area.

Self driving cars are coming, tech might bring other forms of transportation - such as pilot-less drones - who know.

However, I do know it is located in a very desirable area: close to public transportation, walking distance to shopping/groceries, good commuting distance to major metro/work areas.   

I have searched the market in the Boston, MA and surrounding areas, but haven't found anything meeting my criteria.

I hear you on 3d tech, I would like to see implementation of micro-apartments and an official direction for adu here in columbus as well.Unfortunately I'm not too much a fan of how the smart city grant was handled in regards to transportation tech, so I don't have much faith in the city handling new ideas to address population density/growth.

@Boston CaruthersI think you might have to be a full-time professional to get the benefits, too.

I stay half of the time in Boston because my full-time job is in Boston.

A FSD car would mean no need for public transportation, no traffic jams, free rides to stores (grocery would pay to drive you there, malls would pay to drive you there and drive you right into the center of the mall) For $100 a month a car will show up at your door in 15 minutes or less.
