How do you buy properties at wholesale prices ?

Just thought I would introduce myself since I am a new member to this forum.I reside in Tampa and have been a successful wholesaler for a number of years.

Now this might be answering my own question but how dose everyone here feel about me calling these two people and asking them about trying to buy wholesale from them to rehab?

I now know what type of property to wholesale. this property has been on the market sense the 4th well see how that goes. as it stands after using a realtor and paying all those taxes and what ever else is there I will still make $6,000 thats if i get full price. which I think I will.

we signed an assignment contract for vacant lot in Lago Vista Texas. contract was signed in end of july with the assignor saying it would be a quick closing.

okay, we're going into september. this is for one lot....

I am interested in becoming an investor i would like to wholesale houses in foreclosure. you mentioned something about it being illegal in maryland.... now im scared to death to get started. i have been reading alot on the subject and basically this is what im trying to do... im binding a property with the use of a sales contract and then selling my contract to a rehabber...is this illegal???

I work with a group of wholesalers in Columbus.

I am part of a Group called Capital Property Wholesalers.
