@Susie Wendel From what I have found so far, it seems that the city of Jackson itself, though priced attractively for investment, is not really investor friendly due to city regulations and such.

I know I personally had no desire to escape to another urban environment (other than a moment of wishing I could experience Venice when there were no other tourists <grin>).If we are able to bring the pandemic under control by summer 2021, I suspect there will be a lot of pent up energy to visit all the vibrant destination cities around the world that were closed down and not at all vibrant in 2020.And, yes, we were able to purchase the 200 Airbnb IPO Directed Shares.

It can be a tricky avenue to take in multiple markets but with enough research done in a particular area I think they could be quite profitable, especially creating veteran and elderly tiny home parks BUT they're also quite attractive to people my age (mid-late twenties) who want to get a leg up without paying crazy rents or mortgages.

The other thing is you're buying very low end properties which will attract low end renters which will be more likely to damage your property and just not treat it well.

When it comes to the HOA fees A lot of your competition has some of the similar fees or you have to make a decision to help contribute to those as your own expense if you feel you need to be more attractive to the market for an incoming tenant.
