I'm from Long Island I have a lot of projects here but the prices are getting high.

Just to tack on a few points:- House-hacking in NYC (5 boroughs, Long Island and/or Westchester) is a popular strategy right now and is probably the best way to get into REI with low money down.

There are some harsh realities for any property built on a barrier island.

I would recommend they look on the Big Island, lower cost of living and great option if they want a little more space.

Hi Alana, I'm invested in a number of real estate projects in Puerto Rico, both in San Juan and other parts of the island. 

I'm headed there this weekend for a vacation and want to check out the market while I'm there.We use Damarys Barbosa on the West side of the island.  

With that said, I have been on the fence about my options:#1) Sell the Condo – Sell it outright and use the proceeds to rent temporarily somewhere until housing prices cool and buy then or buy investment property#2) Rent the Condo – This would mean I move out, buy a new house but keep the condo and rent it againIn either scenario, I would be moving to Long Island, NY to be closer to my kids.

At minimum, especially in condos, I suggest a min size of 2 bed/2 bath to start justification…if you can invest bigger, 4 or 5 bedroom homes on the Island are more of a rarity, and in the right location with the right amenities, that will start your serious cash flowing off on the right foot!

Green spaces include Ballast Point Park, with a pier into Hillsborough Bay and a play area, and canine-friendly Picnic Island Beach Dog Park, popular for picnics and ball games, overlooking Old Tampa Bay.
