They have other projects and if the scope of work is large and there are multiple people involved leave a set of plans (eg kitchen layout) in the house.

I walked it with my contractor, saw the layout, and immediately saw how we could knock down a few walls, and a few and convert the whole thing  to 9-10 apartments.  

I was looking on Houzz at some ideas for small kitchen layout when I ran across some high end houses in Canada that use IKEA.

I had no expectation of this, its a first floor ranch style layout, easy in and out.

To get a better idea, I would find comps in the neighborhood with the same layout, finishes, condition etc. 

It would help to have a rough layout of the surrounding rooms for traffic flow as well.

They have a kitchen-layout area on the site too that is convenient for sizing and 3D.
