Someone also mentioned they knew of someone else having a crane lift the existing trusses and roof and just adding block around exterior walls to raise height and then redo interior walls.

All it takes is one major issue, such as the insurance deductible for a storm damage claim, a tenant to do damage above and beyond the security deposit - never mind the loss of income while it's being repaired, or evicting a tenant who hasn't paid, etc. ... to turn break-even into a loss.

Hi, to build your end buyers list, one thing you can do is put a sign infront of the house you have under contract saying something like "MUST SELL-CHEAP HANDYMAN SPECIAL CALL NOW XXX-XXX-XXXX" Also put a sign down on the corner of the block with an arrow pointing in the direction of the house!!!
