hey everyone , my name is Joy , i am a new Real Estate Investor in Los Angeles , California . i am here to learn and network . i have teamed up with my girlfriend who is a real estate agent at Keller Williams in downt town los angeles and with my friend casey who is in finance. i currently work full time as a project manager for the environmental side of oil and gas . we are planning to wholesale houses and have kicked off a marketing campaign. my heart is in flipping houses and i feel that i will be able to choose the best deals through the wholesaling side . my grandmother flipped homes for about 15 years , i lived with her and was able to live that experience as well as learn construction.  

Day job is engineering in Houston, Texas (Oil and Gas).

A close friend of mine moved from here to San Antonio, where he is running oil rigs.

A year as a roofer, and a couple years working the oil patch in Alberta (GET ER DONE!!!!)

I work in the oil and gas industry and we deal with it quite often unfortunately.

I think this area will continue upwards once oil climbs up, so this is a good long-term bet for a buy-hold-rent strategy.

I flipped a townhouse in Ko Olina's Coconut Grove last year.

I am from the Grove City, PA area, and mainly operate in the Mercer, Butler, and Venango County areas.Some specific areas that I am looking in are Mercer, Grove City, Harrisville, Slippery Rock, Butler, Franklin, Oil City, Clintonville.

We met back in high school in our small yet tourist popular town in Northern Idaho but shortly after marrying in 2014 we officially moved to the oil boom town in North Dakota were my husband had been working for the past couple years.

Honestly, most real estate gurus are the equivalent of the modern day snake oil salesman.
