@Cully Ekstrom yes you can take out a standard mortgage for a second home provided the second home is suitable for year round use and it has vehicle access via a road.   

If part of the goal of living in a truck is to avoid/minimize housing costs, you might still be able to get away with $0 rent if the other unit(s) pay for the full mortgage.

I’d love to own properties in the Temple/Belton/Killeen, Round Rock, and Austin areas.

Dont clean up the mess for them it will only get worse if you allow them to get away with it.
