I have a question in regards to my mothers house in CT, and how she could potentially turn the property into something that could work for her in retirement.

She's had several jobs over the years I've known her, but by far the worst of them was an upscale unassisted care in the area with a bunch of amenities, including a chef preparing the daily menu.Health care services in this place are a la carte -- the more you can do for yourself, the less you pay, but if you want a nursing assistant to help you with your shower, you pay, if you want someone to feed you during lunch you pay, and if you no longer fall within the specific requirements of what's called "unassisted care" you can no longer stay at the facility.On the surface of things, the place looks like a geriatrics resort: elaborate meals, planned activities, aerobics classes, hydrotherapy. 

Our only family here is my mother and step-dad, so there's an appeal to being close to her people, but a burden to not leave behind my aging mother. 

Here's an overview of my situation:-Neighbour of my mother-in-law is looking to sell privately, his children/family aren't interested in his house.

My mother in law lives in a senior community mobile home park and I swear it's the safest neighborhood in the area.

Tenant is a mother with two kids.  

Im a 26 year old Mother, trainer, nutritionist, Realtor & soon to be a REI .

& I thought the woman (living alone) threatening to sue me for not putting 6 names (including that of her dead mother) on her mailbox was a little demanding.

HelloI have a house that i want to rent but one twist - it is 2100 sq feet with 500 sq feet as self-contained mother-in-law unit attached to the house for the most part, separated only by  wall that lines up with kitchen and living room of the main house.
