I'm actually quite an expert on the subject if you want to take this even further...In my opinion this person was being both careful and courteous to other residents by taking it outside and not doing it within their unit.

We are confused with two things.I hope the business experts here can help me out.

I am sure you have heard experts say things like:- Tell everyone what you are doing and what types of properties you are looking for, Do not be embarrassed or shy about REI. - Take action and look at properties and get out there, do not plan your life away and hide behind "the planning stage"The general idea here is that you need to get out and let the world know what you are doing and the world will respond and THEN and only THEN you will have opportunities arise that can be closed on in creative methods.  

I'm not an expert, so hopefully someone else can chime in to confirm.  

Those things are expert hitchhikers.

My advice, get your refund while possible (I wish someone had told me this) - and get connected with experts in your area and online such as Bigger Pockets.  

@Dejan Lucic I will suggest given you are working on a loan type that not all mortgage brokers or banks are familiar with I would seek out a local expert before moving forward.
