I have never personally purchased remotely, however, buying on the southside and living on the northside might as well be managing a renovation remotely.I'd highly suggest working with your property manager if you know, like, and trust them.

@Yixiong Pan - If others have the cash to put into deals it sounds like you could form a JV partnership with others where they bring capital and you operate the deal and come up with a split of equity of the purchase.
