We also are investing in the furniture, installing a cooling system & screens (not common in Chile), and some decor pieces since it has to reach our clientele's standards (we normally use hotel properties like Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, etc.).

My son loved it whenever one would move as he would score a new Bose system or TV that they couldn't take back to Europe & we ended up with some nice pieces of furniture they left behind.The corp paid for all maintenance & repairs in fact we were surprised to find the kitchen floor redone with all new high end appliances.

If you are looking for something that is a little lower-maintenance, then MTR is a good "middle-ground", where the leases are a little longer than STR, and you will not have to invest as much in changing decor or furniture

Clean tidy and orderly.The inspections are also to identify repair needed items, door locks, screens, large items blocking bedroom windows (fire rescue issue), missing electrical covers (why they remove these I have no idea), leaking showers, broken doors, out door child damage to the buildings, etc...They do this as "Asset Management" because they have to.
