Best way for that to not happen is to be honest with your lender, if you are buying a multiunit property it is downright expected that you'd rent the other units, you'd be stupid not to.

Your tenants are not unique to this situation and honestly, I think they would appreciate you looking out for them :) As for the common areas, yes, they should be cleaned more often.

The response I received was auto-pay is part of the "current loan terms" and they could not remove the payment off auto-pay.Now, I honestly don't recall if there is a clause or language in the mortgage/note regarding the payments needing to be on auto-pay, but has anyone else experienced anything like this before dealing with a non-QM lender?
