While reading books and browsing BiggerPockets is teaching me a lot it is not giving me those personal connections I am looking for.

I'm a retired Navy Corpsman and now teach high school.

You'll need 2 strategies, one for buyers, one for sellers.I'm going to suggest if you're trying to learn about wholesaling or any other type of investment that you choose a path and see who is teaching the area you want to become involved with.  

My husband is a human biology undergrad student with a passion for teaching and is planning on teaching high school biology.

My wife teaches now, so we still look forward to the checks, but there's such a freedom in going out and getting business for yourself!

The  municipality the house is located in is small, and getting to know the  City staff, the Mayor (who lived two houses down) and the City Building Inspector was a treat, as all of them were eager to help, teach and support me (I know, rare and out of the ordinary).  

What I would like (what the book doesnt teach me) is advise, tips, material choices etc. etc.Things to look out for, your bad experiences that I should be mindful of.My specific questions would be...Look at the video (is it allowed?) 

I am also looking forward to learning all I can from those willing to teach.

Hopefully will be doing the teaching in a few years!

In the Florida license class they teach you all about 494 and what it takes to hold the various licenses and the required state filing requirements for licensure and on-going.
