I kind of figure someone with that much money would fall into a couple different categories.1) Someone that is still in the process of building wealth and would get a mortgage to take advantage of the cheap money and use that cash to get into other investments.2) Someone that has saved and lived well within their means to accumulate a nice sum of money.

Radiators, cast iron baseboard water and even fin baseboard systems are all prone to freeze damage.Horizontal runs in the domestic hot water delivery system are also prone to freeze damage.Food in refrigerators and freezers with the electric turned off all particular smelly messes.

For wealth building, the leverage betting odds are in your favor at this point in history with cheap money available and a lot of decent deals out there, but there is always risk in accumulating debt and you limit your mobility to purchase more deals with every new one you acquire unless you have significant capital resources.In rural west Tennessee where I grew up, I would only purchase property at a very, very steep discount which is often possible.

I have a generic requirement in my leases requiring the tenant to have renter insurance, but I never bother requesting proof of insurance, and I suspect most of my tenants do not buy renter's insurance, it is only there so I can say "the lease requires you to have renter's insurance, it is not my problem you didn't get renter's insurance for your belongings"Thats why renters insurance is so cheap.

But FedEx has posted on their site that shipments to the Midwest may be delayed because of winter storms and have stated they will not back their delivery guarantee because of it.That stated, does this tenant check with you monthly to see if you received payment or is this the first time?
