This was new to us and had to jump in with little knowledge on how the process works.

If you going into a completely new area, then you definitely need to start building that knowledge using the approach discussed above.

Even after gaining my degree in business I still haven't forgot about my years working in construction and now I want to get back in and start building wealth with real estate by implementing the knowledge that I gained from construction as well as using the business skills that I have acquired from my job. 

I've recently learned more about real estate investing and figured I had a good foundation of knowledge.

I’m a sponge for knowledge and although in the beginning I would like to focus on single family flips I wish to learn about all facets of the business.

You should equate knowledge to experience at this point in your investing career.

The information though marinated in my head for about a decade and when I finally was ready to use it I'm glad I had that basis of knowledge to utilize.

Issues like that are outside my knowledge so I rely on the experts and their warranties. :)
