Until the draw period ended, I maxed it out just before that and then paid the $100 fee to get the rate fixed.

Looking at it on an apples to apples basis with alternative options, you'll want to consider points, fees (loan app, appraisals, draws), skin-in-the-game requirements, whether it's a dutch loan or not, if there are extension options, when interest payments are made, the risks involved in the deal...so, for example, would you rather pay 20% interest on 6 months at the end of a deal with no fees....or make monthly payments, put say 20% down, have some fees, and pay 10% to 12%?

In this case when people are seeing payments pulled back they are most likely set up as automatic draws each month.

I just don't see the purpose in paying an agent to list, show and draw up paperwork when I can complete the 180 hour course, get apart time job with company for 6 months or so to learn the ropes and then do it all myself from that point on.

You got great info from @Brian Eastman Q3. if you are done and “retire” before 59.5 and want to start drawing distributions you can use systematic equal periodic payment (SEPP) with out any penalties -research 72t distributions for the details.
