Our recommendation is that you specify that the use of a criminal record must be the result of a conviction, and denial should be limited to specific crimes such as:Violent crimes, which would include any convictions with the use of firearms,Crimes of a sexual nature,Crimes against property or persons (such as arson and theft), and,Convictions of drug manufacturing or distribution.The new guidance does not go so far as to make criminals a protected class so you are still completely within your right to deny applicants that violate the criteria above.

There's also a risk premium that someone has to put on the deal for something that doesn't cash flow for a while - investors need to be paid for that delayed gratification of having their capital tied up for years with no cash flow coming in.

It is a completely different thing to have a callous and arrogant attitude towards things you don't understand, completely trivialize the significance and prevalence of rape and sexual assault in our society and the potentially imbalanced power dynamic between men and women in this type of situation, especially for someone just starting out ( and is very petite and practically looks like a child), and to imply that any assault you have experienced in life is your own fault.
