In addition, they will need space in the common areas for their stuff as well (think refrigerator & pantry for food, etc.)No background check will show how clean they are, how they respect your space, whether they are a loud person, or a night owl, who they invite over to stay with them and such.

I’ve had a few instances where I’ve felt a lack of respect due to being a female and on occasion due to being younger than my tenants but for the most part it’s never been an issue.

I respect his viewpoint and am considering it, but was hoping for more input from the community as a whole. 

Calling frequently and being respectful when you do so goes a LONG way to speeding things up.

Matthew, if you want to do anything like this, you'd have to respect the law in every country in which you raise capital, for the capital raising part I mean.The question you might want to ask yourself is whether you should be attempting to be doing that at all and if you're qualified for it.

All due respect, why do you care? 

If your protection is “limited” as the title implies with LLC, (Limited Liability Company) and CA is a horrible state for litigation and taxes, and judges give very little respect to elaborate asset protection schemes to protect debtors (you), what option do you have?

If you keep in mind all the aforementioned and you understand/respect the culture, being very strategic and resourceful there is a great chance you will land on the good side of this.
