I currently work for the local HomeVestor's franchise here in Pittsburgh where I got my first introduction to real estate investing.

Any current thoughts on the pros/cons of franchising, ie homevestors?

I own a franchise and per the franchise laws, I can't buy the building.

KW and Remax appear to be larger than they because they have tons of franchises.

@Ned Carey maybe a lawyer in California, where the franchise fees are a minimum of $800 per year.

Honestly, like a seller choosing an agent, it comes down to specific offices and people, not the franchise. 

As a CA resident you won’t get out of the $809 LLC annual franchise tax.

This area is crime filled with mostly fast food franchises and no name brand stores. 

Some posters here have said that national franchises aren't as good for investor/brokers as there are more restrictions in place.
