Hey all my name is Laurence I’m a brand new member of np I  live in Orlando fl I’ve listened to about 100 episodes of the podcast I have zero real estate experience I’m looking to buy my first property to house hack this year I have a decent amount of money in the savings account I could use for a down payment also have a good credit score I don’t have a high monthly income unfortunately but just looking for any advice or tips or friends to bounce ideas off I’m debating which market would be better between the central Florida area or the Tampa area I also would love to get involved in flips at some point 

I live in MA and I know it is a nightmare to deal with tenant here.

@Khaled Seirafi I've invested in several things in real estate: residential, commercial, small multifamily, mobile home parks, short term rentals, co-living (rent by the room) and I just bought an assisted-living facility.

@Michael Smythe the repairs were never completed while the tenant was living there.

You won't find a deal where you live for free, but if you can live in a great neighborhood at a reduced cost of living that is a nearly risk free way to get started in real estate. 

Although I am just starting my journey, (just recently sold first piece of land; acquired in 2016–held and sold this past week) I live in Southern California but looking to expand to Florida and other states for REI.
