One strategy can complement another.

@Chris Bounds, A lot depends on the reason for selling your current property but, Surprisingly , a 1031 actually complements rather than complicates a BRRRR strategy. 

I'm currently nor living nor looking to invest in the US, which is unlike most people on here I imagine, although this surely implies that we can complement each other all the more :) More specifically and in short, I'm now living and looking to start investing in real estate in Brussels, Belgium. 

Look for a partner who can complement what you are not good at.

When I first walk in, I complement anything I like about the house.

With no kids yet, but definitely in the near future, I started to focus on REI as a good complement to my wife’s dental career and something that would also give a lot more flexibility for home life compared to the average 9-5.

I'm not here to network with maybe but a few people that are either in my areas of CA or doing something that complements what I do.

Find one that complements your current skillset or personality.Wholesaling, Real Estate Agent, Flipping, Notes, Land, Development, Residential, Industrial, Multifamily, Lending, Title, Appraisal, and the list goes on.

We learned that our skills and personalities complement each other well: George is strong with finance, rehabbing, and his sub-contractor rolodex in our farm area is incredible.
