(I was actually born in San Jose)   I considered doing that style on the house we are doing in Capistrano Beach, but since we are incorporating a rooftop deck, it wouldn't work.

It really looks good, but In Chicago, they would be built either big enough to accommodate a small table and chair, or built almost flush to the wall.

Finish work on these homes will include extensive crown moldings, chair rails, high end paint, granite and stainless steel appliances (including wine cooler and ice maker) are now a must.

There are a few other unusual benefits that I think could also be incorporated into this model that people today would love; and I'll explore those next time.
