And as far as I know, owning one's own home is a highly desirable trait that bankers look for and you DEFINITELY want to make bankers happy.My advice would be to get in touch with a mortgage specialist who understands investing before you make any decisions.  

Obviously this is desirable anyway to get off septic, but the numbers hurt in the short-run.

Also I too believe anything within close proximity to NYC such as union city are becoming more and more desirable.  

As such, I personally believe that trying to use an existing slab will limit the design choices and effect a new house in negative ways.If you are trying to wholesale the land, and its in a desirable area, I would not do anything.  

So it would pretty much depend on their needs/desires...

The house is in Ballard location which is desirable one.

I also converted an existing building into condos.If you had 4 condos in one desirable neighborhood, that would be similar to having a 4 unit apt in that neighborhood, except that you would be able to sell individual units without selling the other 3. 

In 10 or even 20 years, depending upon the market and your results, you should work on restructuring so that you rid yourself of the least desirable properties and work toward having as many good free and clear properties as possible.

Target college towns, just on the border of desirable neighborhoods.

Using Google Maps, Google Earth or any other version or combination of versions of free software out there, how can someone create a professional-looking site map to be used as a marketing exhibit showing a site:1) with the 1-3-5 miles rings around it, and2) showing the company logos of nearby, nationally recognized companies by importing said logos into the map and pasting them on top of the locations of those businesses, and3) inserting text blocks where, for instance, one could depict traffic counts of the frontage road by inserting the text block with the desired text into the map and pasting it on top of the road(s).Again, I want to do this all quickly, efficiently, professionally and for free.Can anyone suggest a process or software or make any recommendations?
