Your closing agent generally obtains the written payoff from the lender, they compute the funds to be paid according to the closing date and payoff date (which can be three days after settlement, depending on the transaction), according to the written payoff provided by the lender.Also, there is no communication required of any kind between a buyer and the seller's lender in a normal sale.
