You may be wasting your time!

The sale was canceled between 9 last night and 8 this morning...all that research and anticipation wasted...more sales coming though so hopefully find a good deal soon !

I'm afraid that spending $500 to get my license will be a waste of money because no one would make a deal with me.

Do the signs and mailers, but they will likely attract a high number of people looking to waste your time and want full retail for their property.    

If they haven't paid for any marketing for it, I'm not sure why they would want to be difficult about it.Ultimately you could really make things tough for them so that they waste their marketing money and then the contract eventually expires anyway and you hire your dad instead.That being said, is there any reason why you signed a listing agreement with them given that you knew your dad was an agent? 

I've read "The Book on Rental Property Investing" and "The Wall Street Journal Complete Guide to Real Estate Investing", and listened to the first dozen BP Podcasts. 

ALL the people calling so far do NOT meet the minimum income standards, which is clearly on the rental ad, but they keep wasting their time (and mine of course).

Waste of time and money.  

Door knocking in LA at foreclosure properties is probably a complete waste of time.
