Tell him you will entertain a fee for walkthroughs - though, personally I wouldn't entertain more than $30-$50 for a 30-45 minute walkthrough and I would be carefully evaluating the input provided.

He is a friend and I don't want him to think I am going to exploit that fact to try and get a discount since he is my friend, so I am entertaining the asking price and using that number to keep all estimates conservative.
