It worked out in my favor once sorted out, as the Officer handed the notice to tenants officially aiding my cause.

Good Screening is the an aid to good tenants - but certainly NOT FOOLPROOF! 

I foresee government moving into housing the same way as healthcare.  

I am looking for a place to settle and start a family long term - as over the top as it may sound I literally created an excel spreadsheet scoring each state on all kinds of factors (taxes, cost of living, crime rate, education, future growth, healthcare, scenery...).  

But, doing this, and being clear that this is their one and only one-time pass, put the kabash on asking me again.The only exception to that that I made, was for students who relied on their financial aid as their only source of income to pay the rent, etc.  

Like the "free" healthcare in Canada, paid for by a 50% tax rate on middle class working people.Anyway, I think it's wrong.  

I give security deposit discounts to police, fire fighters, military, healthcare workers, and teachers.  

Contact the local legal aid or fair housing dept if there is one.But, it sounds like the place isn't habitable.  

But, we would also need more/better healthcare, and more/better entertainment and shopping.  

They were band-aided before I bought them.
