We still have both hospitals which employ a ton of people as well as Bradley University and the medical / nursing students so I think rental market is still good.I buy distressed properties and put in sweat equity to bring them up to par.

My target area is Essex county Newark, NJ (University Heights) to be exact. 

Looking for my first buy and hold rental in the neighboring communities around South Alabama University in Mobile, Alabama.

I also have an MBA from the University of Chicago.

I have since found myself based in Berlin, Germany, and I am currently investigating my options for further study here, as I have not yet attended university, and if I do begin studying here it will be in Economics and Finance.

Even though physically this is near the four universities on university heights, as far as the students are concerned it is in another country.  

Now, we have a more measured market stress on our hands- Yellen gradually tightening the screw of interest rates- and we lack the universal sentiment that real estate can only increase in value.
