I think a bright (but slightly warm) white would work very well, a nice contrast to the dark countertops and the green walls.That said, here's an alternative to ALL of that work, addressing what I see as more important for both functionality AND esthetics: At the minimum, swap the stove and the darker base cab.

JUNK.. this one had deceased cats.. a boa constrictor that was alive but must have been hibernating.. and like I said every manner of junk known to man.. these folks lived there according to the neighbors for 12 years.. they must have gone out daily and loaded up a truck load to bring home... its was something.
