Solar panels can add up, depending on how big the systems is and how it's designed.I have one (owned, not leased) on a barn 300' from my house. 48 panels, 13 KWp.

However, it will always be limited by its size, its lack of good closet space, etc.One issue that is odd to me is that the electrical panel is on the wall in the kitchen.

The carpet would need replaced, some wall paneling replaced with sheetrock, and one of the bathrooms needs redone...it is actually already stripped down and was in the process of being fixed by the owner.
