I have been listening to Bigger Pockets Podcasts recently and keep hearing over and over again how interactive and helpful the community is for BP.

@Martin Vehlow is correct, they'll get a commission on any on market deals you do together.A few other incentives:- refer them business: in my marketing for off market deals I interact with a lot of folks who want to sell, but not at a discount that makes sense for me as an investment.

@Herbert AshAdvice for this site...1) Set up keywords for your area and interests so that you're notified when they're used and then start interacting.2) Read through The Ultimate Beginner's Guide3) Go through applicable blogs and podcasts as there are a lot of great resourcesAdvice for REI...1) Not sure what type of investing you're looking at, but study up on what you need to know/do for the 1st step and then do it, then repeat for all following steps until you have completed your first investment then repeat process and keep learning.

Ive been on the blogs now for a while and listening to the podcasts, and realized I need to start getting more interactive on here. 

A good full time agent will do about 40 to 50 deals a year, which means a lot of interactions, experience and connections.

The fact that it would take extra time and interaction from (someone). 

These are the great questions and interactions I need more of. 

I'd follow up any conversation with an email or written letter summarizing the interaction, some written proof of the dispute and attempts to resolve it in case they do file a lien. 

I am thinking to ask to follow and learn from her when she goes out and shows listings and interact with potential buyers/sellers.
