What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

I have a tax question regarding how to report my rental income when my tenant made and paid for improvements and I am reimbursing them by lowering their monthly rent.

New siding shingles can be purchased that are made of non-asbestos material to replace any original ones that are damaged and they are easy to paint - we do that for cosmetic purposes but we don't replace or encapsulate the entire house.That said, I would talk to your Realtor to determine if there are any Michigan-specific rules/regs regarding asbestos siding.

The decision to allow these losses or to block them is made at the personal level, for each of you separately.

My question is for my experienced flippers...How did you find your contractor and what made them the perfect choice for you? 

@Christina Galdieri I agree with the comments on the window treatment replacement and the floor to be tiled (looks like a small bath of probably 50 or so square feet of floor tile, so shouldn't be too expensive to make it look semi-custom).

Recently, I have made the decision to wholeheartedly commit myself to this journey.My current plan is to invest in a multifamily home for house hacking in my local area or perhaps a single-family property with an unattached garage or basement that I can convert into an Additional Dwelling Unit .

I made the same decision 2 years ago and have never looked back!
