If anything is damaged, the only one you can go after is the one on the lease, but if you add the second you can go after either one or both in court and credit bureaus. 4. if you do not add him, he can argue he is not bound by a lease he never saw and then you need to chase down the other one.

And or at least you would have the name of the landlord to chase down if they are like me and hire a service to do it for them.. or their PM does it for them.one must remember in an area like Bessemer and much of the mid west deep south huge swaths of inventory are owned by out of state folks so they won't be showing up it will be a service or their PM representing them.. or a Lawyer who takes on this kind of work.

They could technically charge you a credit report fee, maybe, but I've personally never been at a firm that deemed it worthwhile to chase people over credit report fees, or even had a procedure in place to do so.
