Is it very complicated to buy an rental property with self directed IRA? 

Is it a must to go through a title company or can I self close.

I should add that my impression is that rental income would be like self-employed income and not included in the DTI calculation.

Hi,  I am looking to convert my IRA into a self directed IRA and invest in a Rental (s) in South Florida.

Hopefully I can one day become self employed and make REI my main source of income. 

Before I turned some into rental properties I was working less than 5 hours a month AND that was with self managing them in 3 different states!

I self manage the houses so having higher end houses where I can put a higher expectation on people has allowed me to be succesful.
