Real Estate Agents have to get extra training to become "investor friendly" so I imagine that the coursework required to obtain a Real Estate License pertains to more of Real Estate as a profession rather than an investment vehicle.

it won't help you with this situation, but it may prevent future pain...SOW (Scope of Work) itemizing precisely what work is to be done, the finishes and/or exact material to be used, who has authority to decide on any undeclared materials or finishes (you or contractor).

Then you're required to store property for 45 days if collective value is >$250. 7 days if less than $250.For vehicles there is a process to acquire title, but in my experience unless it has some significant value it isn't worth the hassle.
