Not sure what his end goal is with his repeated tactlessness, I think he could have conveyed the concerns he mentioned in a more professional way, but I have a pretty thick skin.  

Sorry for being blunt, but people listen to the podcasts and think they can make their way into real estate wholesaling without putting skin in the game.

At full retail in my area you are looking at 2500-2800 for Sheetrock and a plaster skin coat for the 19 boards that you would need.

You are certainly not cut out to be in the rental property business with such thin skin.

Extremely severe would be your skin is crawling and hard to breathe when you're in the house. 1.

So if they update their ordinance, or request I simply continue to pay the double fee even if they don't, no skin off my teeth.

Hard money will look at you and mostly the investment, the loan to value is key and since you are new, most hard money lenders will likely want to see some skin in the game or a partner on your team with the proper experience.

But when you don't have skin in the game, I think you  learn not to care.

I think Melissa Nash list would be good to read as well.IF OP has invested in all those four cities, I may buy as well, skin in the game is very important.And the next question I would ask, is what is your *actual* number ?
