If Craigs List is largely used in your area for housing like it is in mine...you can test out demand on there.  

I have already spoken to a few folks on the ground in Austin about doing deals, and have even started more directed conversations with someone who is Austin based and very keen to test the waters of partnering on some deals.

I know several agents that I will reach out to and my husband is getting ready for his real estate test as we speak to assist in this area.
