I am ready to do any work – such as painting, small repairs, legwork – searching and calling contractors negotiating price, setting appointments, searching internet/county offices for Tax records and such.Right now I am looking for experience on how to look for deals, what is the best way to negotiate prices, what risks are ok to take and what are not, and making contacts with people, learning true costs of materials and labor and other tricks of a trade.I would be willing to put few thousands of my own money but that is depending on situation.

I would like to invest in the RE sector of the US economy but all the research that I have read on the internet points to foreigners paying a significantly higher percent of tax on rental property income than locals (30% withholding tax on Gross Income vs 15% on Net Income).I am not concerned about the benefits of a foreign corporation owing a US LLC and thereby not paying estate tax.

.- Look for a fairly large management company with at least 7 employees that specialize in various tasks (showing, leasing, repairs, collections, bookkeeping, etc).- Make sure that property management, NOT SALES, is the only thing that this company does.
