As it stands, this is just what normal for us looks like - pretty similar to a family in their 4th pregnancy.

Since the furnace/furnaces have standing pilot ignition it is probably best to just replace anyways.

And I know that if a professional comes out (like the guy from Home Depot) to install them that it stands a better chance of being done correctly that Renter X. 

There's an abandoned home we are trying to buy and when we talk with the owner they explain that their parents left the home to them and they "just can't stand the thought of selling it" all the while paying taxes and maintenance.  

Sure he is surrounded by average properties but his amenities and extras that he put in the property stand right out and he always has people waiting to rent there.

I would just like to add that I don't believe there is a one size fits all solution nor one supreme option that stands above the rest. 

I can't stand the videos that are 15 minutes long to provide 30 seconds of information and the rest is a bunch of fluff.
