I understand the purpose of the GC position isn't manual labor, but that still feels steep for simple supervision, especially considering the budget is tight. if this was a school/hotel/restaurant/etc I could understand. do GCs normally charge both a weekly rate and a flat percentage on the end for single-family jobs?

I personally would surcharge them all the same amount on utilities (i.e $50 flat rate for electric) and if its over the bill amount then perfect you have some profit.

I highly recommend Keith (owner) at Hot Wired Electrical... not allowed to post number here but feel free to PM me..He has completed several jobs ... replaced panels, rewires, etc... for me at a reasonable price ....just my 2 cents
