Any advice on local syndication meetups or resources would be greatly appreciated.I bring extensive commercial real estate underwriting (private equity) to the table and am looking for someone that is a few steps ahead of me that has experience in local syndications. 

@Jonathan BombaciIf you want to create a repository thread on the subject, do a search for these questions that are answered on this forum multiple times a week and link the best answers.You should be able to find at least 20 in depth answers for each of these questions.But if you want for someone else to do the job for you, you will only attract partial answers as I don’t expect all the original posters to spend the time to type again extensive and detailed answers that they already addressed previously.

As long as rent and terms are to be negotiated for the extension.

Does the property really need that extensive of a rehab?

I had a similar deal I uncovered last year where the owner had a first mortgage of 55K on a 70K house with a lot of back taxes and extensive repairs.

It shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg to have plumbing bumped over, electrical would presumably be minimal given it's already in place and wouldn't require extensive updating/shifting to accommodate the new layout/use near water, and moving a wall isn't that costly.
