He claims they all worked at the inspection, but since the system sat idle 3 months from inspection until I closed on the property, settlement occurred and clogged the system to the point where I now need these extensive repairs.Is this typical for a gravity fed boiler system to have serious issues like this after only sitting for 3 months?

The owner moved out of county sometime in August and they died late October and by accident I rode by the house and saw the deceased owner's son when they were removing furniture.

He might have actually had a stroke from some of the accidents you mentioned, but I'm guessing he got his doctor to check him and they would have done a thorough medical before he went back to work.

Our tenants have no problem complying with this rule.However, my updated policy is for the tenant to provide their own washer and dryer, of course I will let the existing units run their course, I will no longer be purchasing replacements as failure occurs.
