Get ready to have dog urine/feces everywhere, trash strewn throughout the house and backyard, broken windows, fires, drugs, tenants who steal utilities and cause the house to become condemned, tenants who appear to intentionally break things, snakes, prostitutes, crackheads that steal any metal or anything of nominal value in or around the house if it perceived to be vacant.I've never even bothered to ask whether any of the applicants smoke because my assumption is that they probably do and I really don't see it as a factor.

My insurance doesn't approve of those "certain breeds" of aggressive dogs, so we don't allow them.Cat urine is a crazy difficult substance to get out of a house, so I do not allow cats (even though I have one myself).

Similarly, I have seen some manager's advertise all turn arounds take a set time (be it a 1 or 2 weeks or a month) but so much depends on the condition of the unit (think tobacco or cat urine), what it needs, and available resources (be it your time or a contractor's schedule)...My philosophy: it takes as long as it takes.
