The mortgage (and other lines) would likely be wiped out (but talk with a real estate lawyer or title company to be sure, I am not one) - which is why mortgage holders usually require an escrow account so they can pay the property taxes.

Cannot confirm as of yet.Not sure the best route, thinking I should consult with a RE lawyer, and talk to the city tax office if I can 't get a hold of the owner before the property goes into the 5 year delinquency.Thanks!

For the moment I would recommend doing your homework, calling people up, make some connections, hire a RE lawyer and start looking at prices for STRs WHEN the lockdown is over, which is impossible to know as of today.
