So that same employee jumps from a 20K$ dollar tax bracket to a higher bracket of 30K$. the government gets back the money they injected into the economy in the form of taxes. the business that hired the employee keeps their margin the same because the pay increase does not affect their bottom line, since the government is paying for the extra 5$/ hr.

Although not exclusively the case, the investors in private equity funds typically consist of public and private pensions, so the beneficiaries of these investments are teachers, police, firefighters, etc.Mike, thanks for injecting a lot of sense into this thread that could have easily derailed into something less pleasant.

They are waiving the first 3-6 months of payments as well as the 3.5% loan fees, so there has never been a better time to buy a business.SBA will require a 10% buyer's cash injection, so with $200,000 down, you could conceivably acquire a business valued at $2M and possibly more if the seller carries a note.

The range of potential fixes could be from epoxy injecting the cracks, which would cost roughly a few thousand dollars, to soil or foundation stabilization, which could cost a few tens of thousands of dollars.

If the debt service and rental income allow you the profit margin plus tax benefits you seek then it's a go.The only other questions you need to answer is do I have the cash injection for the lender that will lend on this project and is this a buy and hold, fix and flip or wholesale deal.You do have to do a little homework to do.Good luck.
